Argen Trips
In this section you will find the different tourist cities in Argentina that I visited over the years.
The intention is that you can put together your trip, according to your traveler profile.
At the end of the places to visit in each city, I will leave you a link with a survey, so that we can put together your customized trip, according to your preferences, available time, etc.
Villa La Angostura,
Neuquén
I had one of the best summers of my life. When I arrived, I was told, "This place is known as the South Caribbean." So I went out to explore it and I really found out that it is. There are many outdoor activities to enjoy.

Correntoso Lake and River
The lake, according to the Angosturenses, this one and the Espejo Grande Lake, are the warmest in the area. In other words, it is a great plan to spend a day at the beach. Cooling off while looking at the surrounding hills is beautiful. You will be able to access it by vehicle, camping area, supply store, kayak, etc.
The river, one of the shortest in the world, connects with Lake Nahuel Huapi.

Ñivinco waterfall
Not to be missed if you have the opportunity, especially if you are doing the 7 lakes route. It is an easy trail, 3 hours in total. Remember to bring additional footwear to cross a river at least twice. You will find the video at @argentrip_.

Myrtle Forest
This national park is beautiful. I did it by bike (high difficulty according to NP), but you can do it on foot (medium difficulty according to NP). There are also excursions that take you there and back. It is 12km each way from the start of the trail.
I think that the air you breathe in this forest as you reach the walkways and Puerto Quetrihué (end of the route) is very healing for our lungs.

Santa Ana and Dora waterfall
It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have seen in Patagonia. It is almost 40km from the center of VLA. To get there by car, take route 40 and take route 23, Cardenal Samoré border crossing ( check if it is open before going ). Then the trail (medium difficulty) lasts 3 to 5 hours.

Bahía Puerto Manzano
This bay is a centre with many accommodations. It has several beaches for you to enjoy, pure tranquility, surrounded by trees. If you do not have your own transport, from the centre of VLA you have a public bus.

Bayo Hill
Are you a trekking fan? This trail is one of the ones I liked the most. The entire route is beautiful and the final view, I can't even tell you. You will see VLA from above, the Andes mountain range, and Lake Nahuel Huapi. Personally, I use the app "Maps.me" who was my guide on this adventure. In case you don't want to hike, you can go to the base of this ski center and go up in a chairlift.

Bariloche, Río Negro
Bari is probably one of the tourist destinations that we hear most about when we talk or think about "the south". It has many activities to do, see, and explore. I had the opportunity to live there for a month and did some tours like these. Obviously, I didn't get to do everything.

Habsburg stone
I was delighted with this viewpoint overlooking Lake Gutierrez, Cerro Catedra, etc.
It's an easy 4km walk from the top of Cerro Otto (yes, where the rotating coffee shop is). Ideal for drinking some mate!

Campanario Hill
It is one of the best views I have seen of Bari, from a panoramic point of view, you are really impressed. To give you an idea, you will be able to see the Nahuel Huapi and Moreno lakes, the El Trébol lagoon, the San Pedro peninsula, Victoria Island, the Otto, López, Goye, Bellavista, Catedral, Capilla hills, the Llao Llao hotel and the Colonia Suiza groves.
You can climb to the summit by walking for free (medium difficulty) or by paying for the chairlift.

Circuito Chico
It is a spectacular outing that will take you all day, especially if you decide to do it by bike, so I recommend that you leave very early. It is a route of approximately 30 km (from the start of the circuit). You will pass by different tourist spots, for example Llao Llao, Puerto Pañuelo, Senderos de los Arrayanes, Villa Tacul, Bahía López, Caminata al Brazo Tristeza, Arroyo López, Punto Panorámico, Playa sin viento, etc. There are many things to do, if you can divide it into two days, better to enjoy it more relaxed or even do what you can in one day.
There may be no signal, so I suggest you download the map so you can get your bearings.

Refugio Frey
I visited it at the end of November 2022. It is a beautiful trail, you start from the Cerro Catedral parking lot, passing through different vegetation, bordering Lake Gutiérrez from above, pedestrian bridges, Patagonian forest... tranquility and fresh air. About 10km long and of medium difficulty.
It is one of the most popular shelters to visit. In my case, I chose to go and return in the same day (you can easily do it), but you can also stay overnight (with prior reservation). It is surely a great plan.
Please remember to wear appropriate footwear and clothing for a better experience on this trek.

La Buitrera
This place has surely been one of the most "out of context" sites in the region due to the shape of the hill, it seems like you are on the moon! You will see the condors flying over the area, relatively close, it is something incredible and unique to witness. It is an easy/medium difficulty trail.
To take this tour, you will have to pay and register once you arrive at "Estancia La Lucha".
How do I get there?: It's an ugly gravel road, if you don't have a 4x4, it's advisable to go very slowly. I'll show you on Maps so you can see the distance from where you are.
San Martin de los Andes,
Neuquén
Sanma is also one of the wonders of the south and one of the most sought-after destinations for its different charms. Picturesque, welcoming, it may make you want to stay and live there.

Bandurrias Viewpoint, La Islita and Playa Bonita
This is one of my favorite walks, because it is close to the city, you can go on foot, you pass through an oak forest, you disconnect from everything, you relax, you have an incredible view of Lake Lacar (Mirador Bandurrias). It is a Mapuche community, which means they will charge you an access fee.

Quila Quina
18km away you will find this beautiful tourist spot. Arroyo Grande waterfall, beaches, camping, restaurant, oak forest, panoramic points. It is a good option to spend the day. If you do not have your own transportation, there is an option of sailing from the beach in the center.

Playa Yuco
This may be one of the most talked about and well-known beaches in the area. Taking Route 48, 30 km from the center of Sanma, you will find this peninsula with 5 beaches for you to enjoy, surrounded by arrayanes. As in all of Patagonia, the waters are cold, but don't miss the experience of diving in and looking at the landscape full of hills.
A good tip is to wear goggles to experience the transparency of Lake Lacar ;)
Cerro Colorado
Ready for a day of trekking? The summit at 1,742 meters above sea level is an extinct volcano from which you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Lacar, the Lanín, Villarrica and Choshuenco volcanoes, and Tronador Hill.

It is a medium difficulty trail, 10 km in total. The images are from the first days of May 2023. Incredible, isn't it?

HuaHum River + Chachin Waterfall
If you have your own transport, this is a great option to enjoy the entire route, about 45km from the centre of SanMa. At the end of the route you will cross this beautiful turquoise river (typical of the area), and then go to the start of the short and easy path to the waterfall, surrounded by a beautiful Valdivian jungle.
